IIT Laboratory Engineer Recruitment: Essential Qualifications:

| Laboratory Engineer | Candidates should be have acquired Educational: BE/B.Tech. in (Materials/Metallurgy/ Ceramics/Mechanical/ Production/Manufacturing). OR M.Sc (Physics/Chemistry). OR 3-year Diploma in Engineering in (Materials/Metallurgy/Ceramics/ Mechanical/Production /Manufacturing) and at least 02 years work experience related to one of the below subject areas in (ii). OR B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry) and at least 1 year work experience related to one of the below subject areas in. (ii) Experience or Knowledge of Subject Area Required: Practical Knowledge of at least one of the following: • Metallographic equipment and optical microscopy. • Scanning electron microscopy. • DSC/TGA/DTA (thermal analysis). • Melting and Heat treatment furnaces • Mechanical Testing: Tensile testing, Compression testing, Fracture toughness in (UTM), Impact testing, Hardness testing. Desirable (i) ME/M.Tech. (Materials/Metallurgy/Ceramics) (ii) It is better if the candidate has decent computer proficiency to handle lab records and minor clerical tasks related to the laboratory.Check IIT Notification for more details. |
