IIT Kharagpur Job Opening Details for Senior Research Fellowship Vacancies:

Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering with M. Tech. in Water Resources-Hydraulic Engineering from a reputed engineering college. Selected through a process described through any one of the following: a. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC, NET, Including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE. b. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR. IIT, IISc. IISER, NISER etc. AND (2) Two years of research experience.

Relevant Experience: 1. Familiarity with mathematical modelling of hydraulic problems in open channel flows, including solution of one and two dimensional shallow water flow problems. 2. Additional academic qualifications and research contributions in terms of published peer reviewed journal papers will be given due weightage.

Application Fees: NIL

Tenure: 30 Months or the termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
