NHPC- Indian Hydropower Generation Company – ‘A’ Schedule Category PSU organization under the central govt of India has recently published a new vacancy notification and employment news for the recruitment of 26 vacancies for Trade Apprentices for the period of one year.

Teesta-V Power Station (510 MW) a unit of NHPC Limited, a Scheduled “A” PSU Enterprise, Govt. of India, invites applications from candidates meeting the requisite qualification and other parameters for engagement of  Apprentices under Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time) for the period of one year in Trades/ Disciplines mentioned below.

Education qualification: Trade Apprentice ( 10th pass with 02 (Two) years ITI in various trades):

• 10th pass with 02 (Two) years ITI (Electrician) course.
• Trade Apprentice Fitter (Structural)
• 10th pass with 02 (Two) years ITI (Fitter) course
• Trade Apprentice Wiremen= 10th pass with 02 (Two) years ITI (Wiremen) course
• Trade Apprentice Welder (Gas and Electric)
• 10th pass with 02(Two) years ITI (Electrician) course
• Trade Apprentice Plumber
• 10th pass with 02(Two) years ITI (Electrician) course

The candidates who have undergone Apprenticeship earlier or have job experience of 01 year or more are not eligible.

Age: Minimum: 18 years and maximum 25 years as on 31.08.2020. Relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST and
3 years for OBC candidates shall be allowed.

Selection Procedure and Methodology:

The selection shall be done on the basis of merit list to be prepared from the marks scored by the candidates in class 10th examination and ITI examination on equal weightage ratio.
• Preference shall be given to the candidates of Sikkim domicile.

Medical Fitness: Candidates are advised to ensure that they are medically fit as per standard specified
under Apprenticeship Act 1961.

Stipend: Trade Apprentice will be paid a consolidated Stipend of Rs. 9600/-(Nine Thousand Six Hundred) per
month

Reservation: Reservation for SC/ST/OBC will be as per Govt. directives.

Submission of application must be done on or before 01.10.2020.

Candidates are advised to register themselves as a Trade Apprentice online at www.apprenticeship.org. and apply in Teesta-V Power Station, Balutar, Singtam, East Sikkim, Sikkim (Establishment Code No. E04161100002, State-Sikkim).
