Name of the Post(s): Qualifications & Work Experience Requirements & 
Air Worthiness Officer Candidates should be have acquired Bachelor degree in Physics or Mathematics or Aircraft Maintenance or Engineering Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical or Electrical or
Electronics or Telecommunication from a recognized University. Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s (AME) License endorsed in either of the Categories B1 or B2 issued by Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Air Safety Officer

Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized University.

NOTE: The Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the Union Public Service Commission, for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.

Livestock Officer A Bachelor’s Degree in the Veterinary Science
and Animal Husbandry as listed in the First Schedule and Second Schedule of the Indian
Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984) from a recognised university or institution. Registration in the Veterinary Council of India or Veterinary Council of State.
Junior Scientific Officer (Ballistics) Masters Degree in Physics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Forensic Science with
Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects during all the three years of bachelor of Science level from a recognized University.
Junior Scientific Officer (Biology) Masters Degree in Botany or Zoology or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology or Genetics or Forensic Science with Botany or Zoology as one of the
subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognised university OR
B.E or B. Tech. in Biotechnology from a recognised university.
Junior Scientific Officer (Chemistry) Masters Degree in Chemistry or Associateship diploma of the Institution of Chemist by
examination* or Biochemistry or Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subject during all the three years of Bachelor of Science level from a recognised University. Note:*
Associateship diploma of the Institution of Chemist by examination qualification will be
applicable only for the departmental scientists available on the date of notification of the RR
(amendment).
Junior Scientific Officer (Physics) Masters Degree in Physics or Applied Physics or Computer Science or Electronics or Forensic Science with Physics as one of the subjects during all the three years of Bachelor of Science level from recognised University OR Bachelor of Engineering or B. Tech. (Civil or Electrical or Mechanical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer Science or Instrumentation) or Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or Information Technology or Electronics and Electrical Engineering (EEE) from recognised University.
Public Prosecutor

Degree in Law of a recognized University. (ii) Basic knowledge of word processing on computer and internet.

EXPERIENCE: Seven years practice as an Advocate in conducting criminal cases or seven
years experience of State Judicial Service or Legal Department of State or Central Government.

Junior Translation Officer Master’s Degree of a recognized University in
Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level; OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of
examination at the degree level; OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree
level; OR Master’s degree of a recognized university in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level.
Assistant Engineer Grade-I Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (AMIE)** or Engineering Degree in Mining, or Mechanical or Drilling from a recognized University or Institute. (**Only those students who were enrolled with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible.)
Assistant Survey Officer

Bachelor of Engineering or Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE)** or B.Tech degree in Civil or Mining Engineering from a recognized University.

Note: ** (Only those students who were enrolled
with Institutions with permanent recognition up to 31.05.2013 would be eligible).

Principal Officer (Engineering) cum-Joint Director General(Technical) Certificate of competency of Marine Engineer Officer Class-I(Steam or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in Section 78 of the Merchant Shipping Act,1958 (44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act and five year’s Service at sea of which one year service as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer. Certificate of competency of extra first class Engineer as Specified in Section 78 of the
Merchant Shipping Act,1958 (44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said
Act and Ten year’s of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships
and equipments on board such Ships OR Post Graduate Diploma in Maritime Operation and
Management awarded by the Indian Institute of Technology or equivalent and twelve years
of experience in survey and inspection of foreign going merchant ships and equipments on
board such ships OR M.Sc degree in Maritime Affairs covering all aspects of ‘Administration
of Maritime Safety and Environment Protection from the World Maritime University, Malmo,
Sweden or equivalent’ and twelve years experience in survey and inspection of foreign
going merchant ships and equipment on board such ships.
Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) A basic University or equivalent qualification
included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) M.D. (Medicine)/ M.D. (General Medicine) from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
Senior Lecturer (General Surgery) A basic University or equivalent qualification
included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) M.S.(Surgery)/ M.S.( General Surgery) from a recognized University/ Institution or equivalent.EXPERIENCE: Three years’ teaching experience in the concerned Specialty after acquiring postgraduate qualification as Lecturer/ Registrar/ Senior Resident/ Demonstrator/ Tutor in a Recognized Medical College/ Teaching Institution.
Senior Lecturer (Tuberculosis & Respiratory Diseases) A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian
Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or
Indian Medical Register. (ii) M.D (Tuberculosis)/ M.D. (T.B. and Respiratory Diseases)/ M.D.
(Medicine) with T.D.D, D.T.D., or D.T.C.D. /M.D. (T.B. and Chest Diseases) from a recognized
University/Institution or equivalent.
