PSC Associate Professor Recruitment: Essential Qualifications & Minimum Eligibility Criteria:

Lecture in Medicine (i) A recognised medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfil the conditions stipulated in
Section 13 (3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate medical qualification in the
speciality concerned or equivalent. (iii) At least 3 years teaching experience in the concerned speciality as
Senior Resident/Registrar/Tutor/Demonstrator in a Medical College/Teaching Institution. (iv) Knowledge
of Konkani.
Assistant Professor in Geriatrics Medicine (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent in the concerned super-speciality or equivalent. (iii) At least one year teaching and/or research experience in a recognized Medical College/Teaching Institution in the subject of super-speciality after obtaining the qualifying degree of Doctorate of Medicine (D.M.)/Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch.).
Associate Professor in Geriatrics Medicine (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Lecturer in Oral Pathology & Microbiology (i) A qualification included in Part I or Part II of the Schedule to the Dentists Act, 1948 (16 of 1948). (ii) Post-Graduate qualification in Dentistry i.e. Master of Dental Surgery in concerned speciality/subject from a recognized institution or equivalent. (iii) Should be registered with Dental Council. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Director (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent qualification in
the speciality concerned from a National Medical Commission (then Medical Council of India)
recognized medical college/institution. (iii) Sixteen years experience in the profession out of
which at least 5 years experience should be as a Professor in Psychiatry. (iv) Extensive practical
and administrative experience. (v) Knowledge of Konkani.
Tutor (i) Master’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized University and if a candidate with Master’s
Degree in Nursing is not available, Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Post Basic Bachelor of Science in Nursing
from a recognized University, with three years of experience, out of which, one year should be teaching
experience in School/College of Nursing. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Insurance Medical Officer in ESI Scheme  (i) A Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of the educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 or a degree of Goa Medical School (MedicoCirurgiao). (ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship. (iii) Atleast 3 years experience in the Administration of Medical care (Experience is relaxable at the discretion of the G.P.S.C.) (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.
Principal In Government College (i) Ph. D. Degree in relevant discipline. (ii) Professor/ Associate Professor with a total experience of fifteen years of teaching/research in Universities, Colleges and other Institutions of Higher Education.
(iii) A minimum 10 research publications in peer reviewed journal as approved by Goa University from
time to time or UGC-listed journals out of which at least two should be in Schpus/Web of Science Journal.
(iv) A minimum of 110 Research Score as stipulated in Appendix II, Table 2 to the Statutes SC-16 on
minimum qualifications for appointment of Teachers and other Academic Staff in Colleges and other
measures for the maintenance of Standards in Higher Education, 2018. (v) Knowledge of Konkani
Assistant Professor In Economics (i) Good Academic record with at least 55%* of marks or equivalent grade at Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
(ii) National Eligibility Test (NET)/State Level  Eligibility Test (SET) shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Assistant Professor: Provided, however, that candidates who are or have been awarded Ph. D. Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph. D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the
minimum eligibility condition of NET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or
equivalent positions in Colleges”. (iii) Knowledge of Konkani.
Assistant Agricultural Officer

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture from an Agricultural University recognised by

the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani.
