IIT Kanpur Job Opening Details for Data Analyst Vacancies:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physics /Chemistry /Mathematics or relevant engineering domains.

Desired qualification

PhD in Mathematics/Statistics or relevant engineering subjects including Computer Science & Engineering, etc.
Hands-on programming experience with SQL, Python, C++, Java, or equivalent
Good knowledge of MS Office features e.g., MS Excel, Excel Formulas, MS Power point etc., and Google Spreadsheet Hands-on data analytics & visualization experience with tools like gnuplot/MATLAB/Microsoft Power BI/Tableau/D3.js, or similar, in Linux and Windows platforms & cloud platforms
3- 5 years of experience as data analyst, preferably, with industries
Strong analytical, data organizational and management skills
Ability to understand complex technical requirements and communicate analytics as per requirements
Ability to work on tabulations, data edits, data validation, data cleansing, & other data processing activities as required within deadline
Relevant certification, such as Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate, Microsoft-certified Data Analyst, etc. is a plus
Hands-on experience with Google Colab & Jupyter Notebook is a plus
Experience with current cloud-based tools relevant to data processing is a plus
