| Junior Research Fellow | Candidates should be have acquired M.E/M.Tech. or equivalent degree in Materials Science/Thermal /Ceramics Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline (with at least 60% marks or first class or equivalent). Candidates should have a sound knowledge of the materials science, ceramics, and energy materials (such as piezoelectric and ferroelectrics). A GATE qualification is mandatory, but a valid GATE is not required. OR (II) Four-year bachelor’s degree OR five-year integrated degree in the Mechanical Engineering/ Ceramics Engineering (with first division as defined by the awarding Institute/ University) AND valid GATE score. NOTE: Candidates without a valid GATE score in this category can also appear for JRF interview, but registration for Ph.D. program will only be possible after they qualify for GATE.
