| Faculty Positions | Candidates should be have acquired A Ph.D. or an equivalent doctoral degree from a recognized institution along with research publications in one of the following topics: Physics: Astrophysics and Cosmology, Condensed Matter Physics, High Energy Physics, Quantum Information and Computation and String theory. Mathematics: Algebra, Analysis, Geometry, Number Theory, Probability and Topology. Experience: For Appointment as Fellow E: At least three years post-doctoral experience. For Appointment as Reader F: At least five years post-doctoral experience OR equivalent research and teaching experience out of which at least three years are at the level of Fellow E (Level 12 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix) or equivalent level in any similar Indian or foreign institution as decided by the institute. For both positions above, candidates must have proven excellent academic record, recognition and reputation amongst the scientists in their area of specialization by virtue of the merit of their research publications.
