Goa PSC Assistant Professor, Medical Officer & Other Recruitment: Essential Qualifications:

| Junior Surgeon | (i) A recognized Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Postgraduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma, in the specialty concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, Work in responsible position connected with the specialty concerned for 2 years after post graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani.Check Goa PSC Notification for more details. |
| Assistant Professor | (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). Holders of qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (Act No. 102 of 1956). (ii) Post graduate degree or equivalent qualification in the specialty concerned from a National Medical Commission (then Medical Council of India) recognized medical college/ institution. (iii) At least three years experience in the concerned specialty as a lecturer or in an equivalent teaching post in a Medical College/ Teaching Institution after the requisite post graduate degree. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. |
| Medical Officer | (i) A Medical qualification included in the First or the Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of the educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should fulfill the conditions stipulated in Section 13(3) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 or a degree of Goa Medical School (Medico Cirurgiao). (ii) Completion of compulsory rotating internship. (iii) Atleast 3 years experience in the Administration of Medical care (Experience is relax able at the discretion of the G.P.S.C.) (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. |
